The variety name translates from Galician as "grafted," which points to the historical practice of propagating the best selected forms via grafting. The fruit has an elliptical-triangular shape and is characterized by ease of peeling.

The tree is characterized by a semi-erect growth habit, a right angle of branch attachment, and moderate crown density. Studies show high susceptibility of this variety to infestation by Dryocosmus kuriphilus.
