The variety is intended for industrial use and is grown to obtain inulin or to produce coffee substitutes. It is characterized by a very high level of root yield and high dry matter content metrics.
The variety stands out among analogues with one of the lowest levels of free asparagine content in the roots. Like other types of industrial chicory, it is sensitive to cold during the seedling stage and to stress during the growing season, which, if sown early, can trigger premature bolting.
