Variety description

The variety is mid-season; the ripening period is about 85 days after emergence. The plant forms dense, round heads of a deep burgundy-red color with white veins, reaching 30–45 cm in height and width.

The leaves have a characteristic bitter taste, which decreases in cool weather or when soaked in water. The variety is cold-hardy, tolerates frosts down to -7°C, and develops best when planted in spring or autumn. As a landrace variety, it may show a certain degree of variability.
