Variety description

The plant forms a semi-erect leaf rosette about 15 cm in height and up to 30 cm in diameter. The variety forms dense, rounded heads with an average weight of about 215 g. The leaves have a dark red color, a slightly wavy margin, and a distinct white central vein; they possess a crunchy texture and a moderately bitter taste.

The variety has high tolerance to bolting, but is not frost-hardy. Suitable for cultivation with spring and summer planting. To improve taste qualities and reduce bitterness, a blanching method by limiting light access to the plants before harvest can be applied.
