The variety is a natural bud mutation of Washington Navel. The trees are characterized by vigorous growth, spreading crown and frequent presence of thorns. The variety is considered late-maturing; harvesting usually takes place from January to May.

The fruits are of medium size, weighing 160–200 g, have an oval or slightly elongated shape and a thin light-orange peel. The navel characteristic of the Navel group is poorly expressed or hidden inside the fruit. The pulp is tender, aromatic and sweet; the juice does not contain bitterness, which makes the variety suitable for processing.

The fruits have high keeping quality and can remain on the tree for up to four months without losing consumer properties. The yield of the variety in a number of conditions can be low, which limits its widespread distribution. The variety is primarily used as a table variety.
