The Fisher Navel variety is an early-maturing representative of the navel orange group. It matures earlier than popular varieties such as Washington Navel, Atwood, Bonanza, and Newhall; however, the development of the bright orange peel color occurs later compared to some mid-season varieties.

The fruits are similar in appearance to Washington Navel and possess juicy, sweet, and seedless flesh. The variety is intended primarily for fresh consumption and allows for the extension of the citrus harvest season due to its early maturity.
