The plant is characterized by vigorous growth and is shaped as a bush or standard. Flowering and bud break occur at medium to late dates. The variety shows low susceptibility to hazelnut bud mite; sensitivity to other diseases and pests is assessed as low or medium.
The fruits are of medium size, round-oval in shape, with a thin light-nut shell and a round kernel. A characteristic feature is the easy shedding of nuts from the involucre upon ripening. To ensure yield, the variety is used as a pollinator and is recommended to be planted together with the varieties Tonda gentile Romana, Negret and Campanica.
