The Rahela variety is distinguished by high persistence in grass mixtures and provides high yields of green mass with average nutritional value. The plant is characterized by a powerful root system penetrating the soil to a depth of up to 1.5 meters.

The variety is used in agriculture for the creation of hayfields and pastures, as well as in anti-erosion measures. Due to its ability to absorb heavy metals, it is used in the phytoremediation of contaminated soils and is being researched for its use in biogas production.
