The variety possesses improved ornamental qualities and maintains green leaf color under adverse conditions. Due to a developed root system, the plant effectively withstands drought and is capable of maintaining balance in grass mixtures during alternating wet and dry periods. The variety exhibits high resistance to diseases, in particular to rust.

Starlet is intended for inclusion in grass mixtures with a recommended share of at least 30% by weight. It is suitable for sports grounds, recreation areas, moisture-deficient sites, shady places and slope stabilization. An ideal partner for this variety in mixtures is Kentucky bluegrass.
