The variety belongs to the turf grass category and is intended for creating lawns, sports and recreational facilities, as well as landscaping residential areas. The plant has a dark green color and a moderately fine leaf texture.

Due to its deep root system, the variety is characterized by drought tolerance. Stonewall possesses good turf density and a certain level of tolerance to traffic. The variety exhibits resistance to fungal diseases, including brown patch (Rhizoctonia solani).
