Variety description

The variety is native to the Petrovac region in Montenegro. The tree is described as moderately vigorous, reaching a height of 2.5–3 meters in open field; it is also suitable for container culture. The variety is parthenocarpic and does not require pollination for fruit set.
The plant is breba-producing; the first crop ripens in June, the second in August. The fruits have dark, purple skin and are characterized by a high sugar content. Vegetation starts relatively late.
Winter hardiness is estimated at up to -13°C (zone 7b); in cold regions, winter storage in a frost-free room is recommended. The variety is traditionally used fresh, as well as for drying and processing.
