The variety is a clone (ecotype) of the English hop Fuggle, adapted to the conditions of the Slovenian Savinja Valley. It belongs to the category of "noble" varieties, has an early maturity, and is characterized by medium-compact cones. It possesses natural resistance to downy mildew and a yield in the range of 1150–1500 kg/ha.

In brewing, it is used to impart a subtle aroma and mild bitterness. The alpha-acid content is 2.0–6.1%, beta-acids 1.8–4.1%. The essential oil profile, where humulene and myrcene predominate, creates a complex aroma with nuances of earth, pine, white pepper, green herbs, flowers, tea, pear, and incense.
