Variety description

The plant is a deciduous shrub with a rounded crown and dark green rough leaves that darken by autumn. The height of the bush varies from 100 to 200 cm. Inflorescences are corymbose, spherical in shape, reaching 20–25 cm in diameter.

Flowering occurs on the previous year's shoots from July to October. The color of the flowers depends on the soil acidity: they are dark pink on neutral substrates and bright blue on acidic ones. The variety requires winter cover and belongs to hardiness zone 6.

The shrub has strong shoots that hold their shape well. It is used in landscape design for solitary and group plantings, mixed borders, and hedges. Recommended for cultivation in partial shade on fertile, moist, and well-drained soils.
