The variety is also known under the trade name Metallica. The bush is compact, 1.2–1.5 m high and up to 1 m wide, possessing strong reddish-brown shoots that hold their shape well and prevent lodging of the inflorescences.
Inflorescences are broadly pyramidal, 40–50 cm long, dense, and consist mainly of sterile flowers up to 5 cm in diameter. Flowering lasts from July to October, accompanied by a dynamic change in color from lime-white with a pink border to deep raspberry-burgundy by the end of the season.
The variety is characterized by winter hardiness down to -34°C (zone 4). It is suitable for use as a solitary plant, in group plantings, and hedges, and grows well in sunny areas and light partial shade.
