The shrub reaches a height and width of 1.3–1.5 m. The inflorescences are broad-pyramidal, 30–40 cm long, consisting of approximately 50% sterile flowers. The foliage is dark green in summer, turning shades from purple to orange in autumn.
The variety has high winter hardiness (USDA zone 4) and disease resistance. Due to the weight of the inflorescences, the branches may require support. Regular pruning in late winter or early spring is recommended to form strong shoots.
The plant prefers fertile, moist, well-drained slightly acidic or acidic soils. Does not tolerate overhead watering. Suitable for single and group plantings, mixed borders, and container cultivation.
