The bush is 1.0–1.2 m (sometimes up to 1.5 m) high and about 1.0–1.2 m wide, with a compact, upright, and well-branched shape. Shoots are strong, red-brown. Leaves are drop-shaped, dark green, glossy, turning yellow or fiery-red in autumn.
Cone-shaped inflorescences 15–20 cm long consist of sterile and fertile flowers. Flowering continues from July to September–October. Flowers of different shades may be present on the same inflorescence simultaneously due to their sequential change throughout the season.
The variety possesses high winter hardiness down to -40°C. Due to its compact dimensions, it is suitable for single and group plantings, creation of borders, and for cultivation in containers and pots.
