Variety description

The shrub has a spreading or upright crown shape. The shoots are strong, rigid, and red-brown in color. The leaves are dark green, oblong, with serrated edges, matte, and have a rough texture.

Large cone-shaped inflorescences reach a length of 20–35 cm and consist of fertile and sterile flowers. The flowering period lasts from July to October. The plant is winter hardy down to -34...-40°C and is resistant to urban conditions and precipitation.

Fertile, well-drained acidic or slightly acidic soils are preferred for cultivation. The shrub is capable of growing in full sun as well as partial shade and may be affected by downy mildew under adverse conditions.
