The shrub is characterized by upright shoots and vigorous growth, with the height of an adult plant varying from 1.2 to 2.4 meters. The foliage is medium-green, serrated, with slight pubescence. The variety is considered close to the 'Grandiflora' form but differs in the larger size of its inflorescences.
Flowering occurs from mid-July to early autumn. The inflorescences are broad-conical, measuring about 10 by 10 cm. Upon opening, the flowers have a deep cream or white shade, which eventually changes to purple-pink. The shoots are strong, although they may bend slightly under the weight of the inflorescences.
The variety possesses winter hardiness suitable for zones from 3b. The plant prefers sites from full sun to partial shade and well-drained moist soils, adapting to a pH level from 5.0 to 8.0. It is used in ornamental gardening as a specimen plant, in group plantings, and in hedges.
