Variety description

The shrub reaches a height of 60 to 120 cm. Leaves are light green with serrated edges, acquiring reddish or burgundy shades in the autumn period. Lacecap-type inflorescences contain an abundance of sterile flowers with elongated sepals; double forms occur.

Flower color varies from light blue or blue in acidic soils to pink in alkaline soils, changing towards the end of summer. The plant is winter hardy in USDA zones 6–9, prefers partial shade and sufficient moisture. The variety is suitable for container gardening, borders, and cut flowers.
