Variety description

The variety is a compact shrub about 100 cm tall and up to 80 cm wide. The plant's leaves go through a color change cycle: in spring they have a purple hue, in summer they turn green, and in autumn they acquire a purple or bright red color.

The flat lace-cap inflorescences are white-pink at the beginning of flowering and later darken to crimson. When grown in acidic soils, the flowers acquire a blue hue. Flowering continues from June to August–October.

The plant prefers partial shade and locations protected from the sun; it requires good drainage due to its sensitivity to excess soil moisture. Regular pruning of weak or winter-damaged stems is recommended.
