The multi-stemmed shrub has an upright, spreading form. The plant height is 60–90 cm, and the crown width can reach 150 cm. The foliage is green, deciduous, with serrated margins characteristic of the species.
The inflorescences are of the "lacecap" type and consist of small central fertile flowers and large sterile flowers along the edges. In alkaline soils, the inflorescences are pink; in acidic soils, they are bluish or lavender with blue hues.
The variety prefers moist and fertile soils, does not tolerate drying out, and requires pruning after the flowering period ends. The plant needs protection from direct midday sun and strong winds, and also requires covering in regions with cold climates.
