The plant is a compact shrub 0.75–1 meter tall with a rounded or upright spreading shape. Leaves are ovate, pointed, green; at a young age or in autumn, they may acquire a reddish or burgundy hue.

Inflorescences are of the 'lacecap' type and consist of double white sterile flowers resembling snowflakes. Flowering continues from early summer to early autumn.

The variety withstands frosts down to USDA zone 6 (-20...-23 °C). It prefers moist, well-drained soils and partial shade; it does not tolerate dry, hot air and direct midday sun. It is used in group plantings, borders, containers, and for cut flowers.
