The variety was discovered in the Arma di Taggia area in Liguria and is presumably a local variety or one that arose spontaneously from seed. The tree is of medium size when grafted onto wild apple rootstock and demonstrates good adaptability to different soil types and growing conditions at altitudes up to 800–1000 meters above sea level.

It belongs to the autumn maturity group, with the harvest period lasting from mid-August to the end of September. The rounded fruits have a greenish background with yellow-red shades, white delicate juicy flesh with a sweet taste and crunchy texture, which may become mealy with a sourish aftertaste during storage.

The variety is distinguished by high productivity and is suitable for organic cultivation. The fruits are versatile in use: suitable both for fresh consumption and for culinary processing.
