The variety was obtained by crossing breeding lines Purdue 1984 and Purdue 194 with the variety Benet. The tree is distinguished by vigorous growth, a spreading crown, and early onset of bearing. Bearing is regular, flowering is medium-late.

Harvest maturity occurs in early October, consumer maturity from January. The medium-sized fruits have yellow-green skin with a brownish-red blush, and cream-colored, firm, and juicy flesh. The taste is pleasant, with an aroma reminiscent of the Golden Delicious variety. The fruits are suitable for long-term storage until April-May.

The variety carries the Vf gene, providing immunity to scab, and possesses low susceptibility to powdery mildew. Trees are characterized by good winter hardiness of the wood.
