The tree is characterized by very vigorous growth and forms a large, wide, spreading crown. The variety is triploid, enters into fruit-bearing late, is prone to biennial bearing, and is a poor pollinator for other apple trees.
Fruits are large or very large, weighing 165–200 g, with a flat-globose shape. The skin is yellow-green, turning orange-yellow upon ripening with reddish stripes or a blush. The flesh is creamy white, juicy, fine-grained, with a sweet-sour taste.
The variety is late-autumn or winter. It is prone to infestation by scab, powdery mildew, and cancer; in dry years, the fruits may drop before harvest. It is used as a dessert variety, as well as in cooking and for cider production.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
