The variety is a product of the PRI breeding program using genetic material from the wild apple Malus floribunda. The medium-sized fruits have a balanced dessert taste, yellowish-cream firm flesh, and a yellow ground color with a red blush covering up to 95% of the surface.

The tree is recommended to be grown on dwarfing or semi-dwarfing rootstocks, which limits its height to 3.5–4.5 meters. The variety possesses immunity to scab, resistance to fire blight and rust, but may be susceptible to powdery mildew. The harvest ripens in mid-to-late September.
