The variety is one of the first virus-free mutations of the Jonagold variety. The trees feature a spreading crown and reach a height of 4.0–4.5 meters. The clone is characterized by stability in growth, productivity, and fruit coloration, while maintaining the primary qualities of the original variety.

The fruits have a bright red striped-spotted-diffuse blush covering 50–60% of the surface. Fruit ripening on the tree is often asynchronous, which is why harvesting is recommended in 2–3 passes. The variety possesses average winter hardiness and scab resistance, as well as low resistance to powdery mildew.

The fruits are characterized by a harmonious sweet-and-sour taste and good keeping quality. The variety has a commercial purpose and is in demand in commodity fruit farming due to the attractive appearance of the produce.
