The tree is characterized by vigorous growth, an upright crown shape, and high winter hardiness, corresponding to USDA zones 4–8. The variety has good resistance to scab, powdery mildew, fire blight, and perennial canker, although it may show a tendency toward biennial bearing with low yields.

The small to medium-sized fruits have an orange-red color and characteristic russeting around the stem. In terms of chemical composition, they belong to the bittersweet category. The ripening period occurs at the end of September; the fruits are not intended for storage and require processing within three weeks after harvest.
