The tree shows vigorous growth in its early years, forming a widely spreading crown that becomes sparser with age. The variety enters the fruiting period early, but is characterized by biennial bearing.

The fruits have a cylindrical shape with five prominent ribs. The skin is covered with a marble pattern and yellowish specks, turning dark red when exposed to sunlight. The flesh is juicy, with a mild sweet-and-sour taste and a faint spicy aroma.

The apples ripen by the end of September and are suitable for consumption until January. The variety adapts to various growing conditions, from damp lowlands to highlands, and is noted for good fruit wind resistance. It is widely used in cooking and for juice production.
