The rootstock is a representative of the classic Malling series. Trees grafted onto this rootstock reach approximately 75–90% of the size of standard trees on seedling rootstocks.

The root system of the rootstock is located superficially, which makes the plants prone to lodging and requires constant support. The rootstock is sensitive to drought, tolerates wet and heavy soils poorly, and is prone to forming root suckers.

Resistance to Phytophthora collar rot has been noted. Use of the rootstock ensures good precocity and high cumulative yield, while fruit quality indicators are comparable to other common rootstocks.
