M 116, also known as AR 86.1.25, is a semi-dwarfing rootstock. Trees on this rootstock have a vigor intermediate between MM.106 and M.26, reaching a height of 3 to 4.5 meters, and are characterized by high productivity.
The rootstock possesses resistance to Phytophthora collar rot, powdery mildew, woolly apple aphid, and apple replant disease. Although it has good anchorage, young trees may require additional support in the first years after planting.
