Variety description

10 August 2026

The rootstock belongs to the semi-dwarfing group, providing trees with a size approximately 80–100% of standard trees on seedling rootstocks. It is distinguished by excellent anchorage and the ability to establish itself in the soil, which eliminates the need for permanent supports.

The plant possesses high resistance to woolly apple aphid, as well as moderate tolerance to fire blight and Phytophthora root rot. The rootstock is drought-tolerant and suitable for cultivation on heavy, clay, and poor soils.

The characteristics of the rootstock include a tendency to produce root suckers and burr knots on the trunk. Varieties grafted onto it enter the fruiting stage earlier than on seedling rootstocks. There is a virus-free version of the rootstock known as MM 111 EMLA.
