The variety is the result of folk selection and has been known since the beginning of the 19th century. The dual-purpose fruits are medium-sized, have a green color with a red blush, and the skin near the stalk may have russeting. The flesh is light yellow, juicy, fine-grained, with a sweet or sweet-and-sour taste.
The tree is characterized by moderate growth and good compatibility with M9 and MM-106 rootstocks. The harvest is collected in early October; the fruits are suitable for long-term storage from November to March. The variety possesses marked tolerance to major apple diseases and is considered hardy to growing conditions.
