Malus baccata 'Gracilis' is a decorative tree 4–6 meters tall with a drooping crown shape. It has glossy leaves and blooms in May with white flowers. The fruits are very small, yellow-orange or red, and remain on the branches until winter. The plant possesses high frost resistance, is resistant to powdery mildew, but can be affected by scab.
Malini 'Gracilis' is a variety of columnar Malus domestica, distinguished by high compactness: after 10 years, it reaches a height of about 150 cm. The fruits are small or medium-sized, dark red, ripen in early September, and the taste varies from sweet-and-sour to sweet. The variety is resistant to scab and has low susceptibility to powdery mildew; it is suitable for cultivation in containers.
