Tree or large shrub 6–8 meters tall with a rounded crown. In May, the plant is abundantly covered with large white flowers with a pinkish tint, 3.5–4 cm in diameter.
Fruits are small, 2–5 cm in diameter, bright crimson or red in color, resembling cherries in appearance. They are edible and suitable for making jelly; however, the primary purpose of the variety is the decorative design of gardens and parks.
The variety possesses winter hardiness (zone 4A–8B) and adapts to various soil types provided there is sufficient sunlight. The tree can be susceptible to scab.
