The plant has a widely spreading, dense crown of an irregular or flat-spherical shape. Young leaves have a brownish-red color and gloss, acquiring a dark green shade with a possible purple tint as they grow.
Flowering is accompanied by the appearance of large fragrant flowers with a diameter of more than 4 cm, blooming from deep purple buds. Small purple fruits with a diameter of 1.0–1.5 cm have a conical shape, are covered with a waxy bloom and are located on long thin pedicels.
The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness and the ability to grow on various soil types, preferring fresh fertile loams. Fruits are considered inedible or unsuitable for human consumption.
