The variety was created at the Institute of Experimental Botany of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic through hybridization using such varieties and lines as Prima, Jolana and PRI 370-15. Breeding work was carried out within the framework of a program for developing scab-immune varieties, started in the 1970s, with the variety itself created before 1990.
A genetic feature of the plant is the presence of the Vf scab resistance gene. Detailed data on the maturity group, fruit characteristics and morphological parameters of the tree are not presented in available publications.
