The variety is a mutant clone of the James Grieve apple tree, obtained by irradiation with gamma rays at a dose of 62 Gray. The tree is characterized by moderately vigorous growth, early entry into bearing, and regular high yields.
Fruits are medium to large in size and have an overcolor with red spots. The fruit flesh is cream-colored, juicy, aromatic, with a characteristic tart taste. The variety belongs to the early autumn group; fruits are suitable for storage until November-December.
The plant is susceptible to scab and has moderate susceptibility to powdery mildew.
