The variety is a bud mutation of the Royal Gala variety. The fruits have a characteristic striped pattern but are distinguished by a more pronounced red surface hue compared to the original variety.
Fruit maturity dates occur 2–4 days earlier than those of the Tenroy cultivar. The variety demonstrates good keeping quality, exceeding the indicators of the Kiddle or Tenroy clones, while the fruits may be smaller in size.
This variety belongs to the group of dessert apples intended for fresh consumption and is valued in commercial horticulture for its improved visual characteristics.
