The variety was obtained from a hybrid stock of decorative apple trees based on a Malus prunifolia seedling of the 'Stepashka' variety through open pollination with the probable participation of Malus × gloriosa. The main purpose of the crop is decorative use in landscaping.
The tree is distinguished by abundant flowering with pink-red flowers in May. The fruits are small, contain biologically active substances, and are suitable for making compotes, marmalade, and pastila. Fruit ripening occurs in August–September.
The variety is characterized by resistance to scab and powdery mildew.
