The variety is a bud mutation of the variety Geheimrat Dr. Oldenburg. At the beginning of growth, the tree develops with medium vigor, and during the period of full fruit-bearing, growth becomes weak; at the same time, the tree possesses a good ability to form fruit-bearing branches.
The variety is classified as an autumn variety. The optimal form for cultivation is considered to be a spindle bush; it is not recommended to grow it in the form of standard trees taller than a 'quarter-standard'.
A distinctive feature is the more intense red coloration of the fruits compared to the base variety.
