The variety was obtained by crossing McIntosh and Yellow Newtown varieties. The tree is medium-sized, with a rounded crown prone to thickening. Shoots are dark cherry, geniculate, with strong pubescence.
Fruits are medium-sized, round or round-conical, ripening in late September to early October. The skin is light yellow with an intense burgundy-red blush and a glaucous waxy bloom. The flesh is white, firm, juicy, sweet, with a pronounced aroma. The fruits have high keeping quality and are not prone to shedding.
Resistance to scab and powdery mildew is above average, winter hardiness is average.
