The deciduous tree reaches a height of 4.5–6 meters with a similar spread of its wide-spreading crown. Glossy dark green foliage in summer turns golden-yellow in the autumn. Flowering occurs in April-May, with pink buds opening into pure white fragrant flowers.
Small orange-red fruits about 1 cm in diameter are decorative and remain on the tree for a long time during the winter period. The variety possesses high winter hardiness (USDA zones 4–8) and tolerance to urban conditions. It prefers full sun and well-drained fertile soils, exhibiting drought tolerance after establishment.
