The tree has medium vigor and an open canopy with low foliage density. Leaves are elliptical-lanceolate in shape and medium-sized. Large fruits weighing about 6 grams have an elliptical asymmetrical shape with a characteristic pointed protrusion; upon ripening, the skin turns purple-red.
The variety is partially self-compatible; Tonda di Cagliari and Bosana are recommended for pollination. The plant propagates well through rooting. The variety is susceptible to olive fruit fly, peacock spot, and olive knot.
The fruits are valued for their easily removable pit and pulp balance. The resulting oil has a medium-fruity profile with notes of almond and freshly cut grass; it is often used in blends with other local varieties.
