The Intosso tree is low-vigor, with a compact or upright crown shape. Leaves are medium-sized, elliptical, and dark green in color. Fruits are ellipsoidal, large, with an average weight of about 7.5 g and a medium-sized pit. Harvesting for oil production usually begins in the first half of October.
The variety is hardy and adapted to stony soils, capable of tolerating snow and low temperatures. Productivity is rated as medium, although it may decrease at altitudes below 350 meters above sea level. The variety's oil has aromas of freshly cut grass, artichoke, almond, and tomato leaf.
