The variety is rare and is classified as "secondary" according to the France Olive classification. Trees are adapted to traditional cultivation without artificial irrigation, which promotes the development of a deep root system.

The fruits of the variety are medium-sized and are characterized by the presence of large but few lenticels. Oil from this variety is characterized by a creamy texture, a mild balanced taste, and notes of ripe fruits and dried fruits. The product is used both as a monovarietal oil and in blends with other varieties.
