Uljarica is a local variety distributed throughout the territory of Croatia. Genetically, the variety is relatively close to the Turkish «Ayvalik» variety. Due to the diversity of regional names, Uljarica may act as a synonym for such varieties as Brsečka, Zuzorka, Puljizica, Sitnica, Uljenica, Dračevica, Modrulja, and Pačica. In the course of individual genetic studies, the variety was identified as Bijelica dubrovačka.

This variety is used to obtain olive oil. Detailed agronomic characteristics, including precise parameters of tree growth, ripening periods, and disease resistance, are not presented in open scientific sources. Scientific interest in the variety is limited to issues of genetic typing and methods of vegetative propagation, in particular the effect of phytohormones on the rooting of cuttings.
