The variety is a traditional local genetic resource of the Vallès region. It is used primarily for the production of high-quality Extra Virgin olive oil.

The oil of the variety has medium fruitiness with notes of green grass, tomato vine, mint, almond, and apple. The taste has a balance of bitterness and pungency. The plant shows a tendency toward alternate bearing.
