The variety has ancient Greek roots and originates from the Koroni area in the Peloponnese. The tree is characterized by high and stable yield, strong structure, and the presence of leathery, lanceolate, dark green leaves.
The fruits are very small, with a mass of 0.3 to 1 g and a length of 12–15 mm. The oil is distinguished by a high content of polyphenols and a spicy, "peppery" taste with an intense fruity aroma.
The variety belongs to the early-maturing group, with harvesting beginning in November. The plant possesses high adaptability, drought tolerance, and tolerates windy conditions and relatively low temperatures for the crop well.
