The medium-sized tree has a spreading crown. The fruits have an oval shape and yellow-green color. The variety is a product of folk selection, adapted to the climatic conditions of the Pollino National Park.
The variety is dual-purpose, suitable for both oil extraction and table consumption. Harvesting is carried out manually from late October to November. Propagation of the variety occurs mainly through root suckers, which complicates its industrial production.
The oil obtained from these olives is of high quality with fruity, bitter, and piquant notes. The variety is characterized by a high degree of adaptation to local growing conditions.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
